Why are Senior Pet Checks Important?
As pets age, they become more prone to certain health conditions that often go unnoticed until they are advanced. Regular health checks can:
Detect Issues Early: Many conditions, such as arthritis, heart disease, and kidney problems, progress silently. Early detection allows for prompt treatment and can significantly improve your pet's quality of life.
Prevent Pain and Discomfort: Spotting issues early helps avoid the pain and discomfort that often come with untreated conditions.
Prolong Their Life: By monitoring their health and addressing changes early, you can help your senior pet live a longer, happier life.
Tailored Care: Senior pet checks allow us to provide you with expert advice on managing your pet's diet, exercise, and overall care to keep them feeling their best.
Signs Your Pet May Need a Senior Health Check
If your dog or cat is displaying any of these signs, it may be time for a check-up:
- Slowing down or reluctance to exercise
- Changes in appetite or weight
- Increased thirst or urination
- Lumps or bumps
- Difficulty climbing stairs or jumping
- Bad breath or dental issues
- Changes in behaviour or sleep patterns
- Even if your pet seems healthy, regular checks are the best way to ensure their well-being.
